November 9, a book review
To know me is to know that I adore Colleen Hoover as an author. Whenever I walk into my public library, a frequent occurrence in my life, I head right to the 'H' section in the hopes that I can find one of her new titles. This past week, I stumbled upon November 9 on the shelf, and it was nothing short of a Christmas miracle. I've been dying to read this novel since it came out, and as a little spoiler to the review, it was even better than I could ever imagine. At the end of this post, I really hope you're running to the nearest bookstore to pick this up. Trust me, I didn't stay up until 3:30 a.m. just to finish the story in one sitting for no reason.

My Rating: 12/10 (not even exaggerating)
Favorite Quote: "I have to force myself to make a life before the one I'm not living swallows me whole."
Synopsis: Ben, an aspiring writer, and Fallon, an aspiring actress, cross paths unexpectedly on November 9th in Los Angeles. Since Fallon is moving to New York City that evening, the two spend the few hours she has left together and discover just how much they appreciate each other's company. They agree to meet for the next six years on the same date, November 9th, at the same place, in the hopes of something happening between them, even if only a friendship. Plus, Ben wants to use their plot line as the backbone of his first real book. Will his novel have a happy ending?
Review: I seriously wish I could tell you every single little detail about this book, but I don't want to ruin even a second of it for you. This is without a doubt the best book I have read in far too long. If you are looking for intense infatuation, heartbreak, romance, family drama, and secrets, let me just tell you, this is the book for you. With each turn of a page, I was met with surprise after surprise, excitement, tears, and every other emotion possible. I fell in love with Ben and Fallon, and I never wanted the story to come to an end. Trust me, neither will you.
Final Thoughts: I don't tend to be a very pushy person, at least I hope not, but for this book, I'm willing to tell you over and over that you need to read it. No, it's not inspirational or motivational, and it really won't teach you much, but this is the kind of book that's good for your soul. Please read it. It's the perfect 'curl up on the couch by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa and let your heart get caught up in the story' book.
